Sunday, November 1: As fun as the Celtic Cross reading is (and, frankly, terribly thorough), I decided I'd mix it up.
I gave one of my former favorite readings: a three-card reading representing past, present and future. I dealt the cards from right to left, and I didn't like the feel of it, but I let it go, figuring it would come to me later.
David was surprised at such a short reading; I had done only Celtic Cross with him.
"You mean, there's more than one way to read the cards?" he asked.
I felt as though I had done David a great disservice by restricting our readings to a single format. I love using the Celtic Cross, but that's because I think it's very thorough and offers a very thorough picture of the querent's life.
Having said that, I like the brevity, the almost "snapshot" nature of the three-card reading.
6 Wands
6 Pentacles
Queen Swords
8 Pentacles
